Office of Communications

Quality communication and informative materials are important for our work in public health.  The Office of Communications was created to help foster clear and open dialogue between the Iowa Department of Public Health and all Iowans.

The office provides guidance to our department programs on how best to enhance their communication and messaging to their consumers, providers, and stakeholders through exceptional media relations, copywriting and editing, marketing and advertising strategy, and graphic design.

Iowans can get involved with the department’s communication efforts by joining our news feed.  To receive IDPH news, visit https://www.iowa.gov/subscribe and enroll or update your subscription preferences.  For IDPH topics, scroll down to "Public Health, Iowa Department of," and expand the section for "News & Announcements."

Persons interested in public health and events at IDPH are also welcome to follow our social media networks on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.

Media inquiries and open records requests can be made through the Office of Communications.
