Board Staff
The Iowa Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology is staffed by both a Board Executive and a Secretary in the Bureau of Professional Licensure, Iowa Department of Public Health. Legal services are provided by the Iowa Attorney General's Office.

Board Members
The Board is made up of five members licensed to practice speech pathology or audiology. Two shall be licensed to practice speech pathology and at least two licensed to practice audiology. There are also two members who are not licensed to practice speech pathology or audiology who will represent the general public.
Board Members:
- serve three-year terms (unless filling an unexpired term),
- appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate,
- serve no more than nine years (three full terms).
