This project is supported and advised by the Newborn Screening Program through the Center for Congenital and Inherited Disorders at the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Scientific Advisers supporting the project are from the University of San Francisco and the University of Michigan. They have experience around deliberative democracy with bioethics and newborn screening.
Support for the educational presentations, handouts and materials were produced in collaboration with our Medical Consultants at the University of Iowa, technicians at the State Hygienic Laboratories, and other professionals serving the Center for Congenital and Inherited Disorders Advisory Committee in Iowa.
This grant is funded through NewSteps and the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) to encourage the screening of new conditions to the Recommended Newborn Screening Panel: Pompe Disease, MPS-1, X-ALD.
Technical Assistance is also provided through Baby's First Test.
