Pending Rule Changes
The board is considering proposed changes to its rules to clarify license renewal and reinstatement requirements, license reactivation requirements, applicant responsibilities, procedures for review of applications, and grounds for denial of an application. The proposed rules would also prohibit a person from holding both an active apprentice license and active specialty license at the same time -- one of the licenses would have to be placed on inactive status. The proposed changes were published as a Notice of Intended Action on January 18, 2017, and will be considered for adoption at the March 21, 2017, meeting of the board.
